The most vulnerable area on any 4x4 while off-road is your rocker panels, especially
if you're a rock crawler. ShrockBars rocker guards blanket them in 3/16”
plate steel. You'll never worry about them again! Shrockworks rock sliders look
great on your Jeep too. ShrockBars Rock Rails are CAD designed, laser cut and
bent on a CNC press brake for a precison fit.
Four wheeling and rock crawling with ShrockBars rocker guards installed, means
you don't have to give up precious ground clearance to protect those rockers
like you would with a nerf bar or frame mounted protection. The unique side
tubes serve several purposes. Most importantly protection. They fend off blows
to your doors and the side of your Jeep which are very common when slipping
sideways into objects. They provide a place to step up into your Jeep, and they
make it easy to use your hi-lift jack without causing damage. The tube portion
of the sliders is beefy 1.75” x 0.134 wall tubing. The tube is attached
at an upward sweeping angle and is reinforced with two center support pieces
(three on the Jeep unlimited.)
What really sets ShrockBars rock sliders apart from other Jeep rocker protection
is the strength and performance of the mounting system. Mounting flat plate
or angle iron to the rockers is not terribly challenging, but when a tube is
added to protect from side impacts, it also adds the potential for considerably
greater torque to be applied to the rocker area; therefore, mounting them securely
becomes much more challenging and important. If you come down hard on the tube
portion, the sliders will try to torque and rotate into the body. Our mounting
system controls these forces on several planes.
Six stainless steel bolts run the length of the rockslider to control vertical
forces. Six additional bolts come up from the bottom through three large backing
plates per side to clamp the slider tight to the reinforced floor. This provides
a super-strong mount and eliminates the need for attaching to the body mounts.
Unlike many Jeep Wrangler YJ rock slider designs, ShrockBars cover the floor
pan area under the rockers fully, all the way to the frame!
YJ rocker guards attach to the middle and rear body mount and add two bolts
through the floor in the front. This gives a VERY solid mounting.
YJ Sliders are offered for stock flares and a cut down version for people installing
TJ flares. The stock flare version is NOT cut around the small extension on
the front flare. The flare sits on top of the slider and bolts though it to
the stock hole. The tube is left a little short on the stock version. That way
if you ever do TJ or other aftermarket flares, the tube will not be in the way.
The top thumbnail with the blue sliders are the std YJ sliders used w/ TJ flares
that were installed later.
Don't settle for a rock slider design with tube welded on as as afterthought.
Our rocker guards were designed from the ground up to be fitted with side tubes
and withstand all the abuse you want to throw at them. Shrockworks rocker protection
for TJ, CJ, and YJ are all compatible with any size body lift without modifications.
One other note, we don’t need to warn you that your rockers aren’t
the only thing worth protecting while offroad. In addition to saving your rocker
panels, our jeep rocker guards can also help save you noggin! You can bolt the
front mounting plate for your roll cage into the bottom of the sliders which
will provide a much more secure mount than merely attaching it to the sheet
metal of the floor pan. Many other rocker protection products only wrap a few
inches underneath and do not allow this. The three bolt heads you see in the

Installation:
Installation can be easily accomplished by the average do-it-yourself Jeep owner.
Installation requires only basic hand tools, a floor jack and a drill. Detailed
instructions are provided.
